The Information Management Associate Degree Program is a program aimed at training intermediate-level workforce who are familiar with computers at an advanced level and are referred to as information workers. The courses taught in this department are annual and the duration of the department's education is 2 years. The student quota of the program is 30 students in formal education.

 

Information Management, being a unifying field among different disciplines such as instructional design, development and learning, computer sciences, is one of the areas that have been needed and newly developing in our country in recent years. The main aim of the Information Management program is to train an intermediate level workforce who is familiar with computers at an advanced level, capable of processing corporate information with new technologies by effectively and efficiently using current software in businesses. In addition, it is aimed to provide students who prefer the program with the ability to create, organize, transmit, present, share, query and store information in businesses using contemporary information processing and communication tools.

 

Employment Opportunities for Graduates

Students who will graduate from the program will have the qualifications to fill the gap of intermediate staff needed by businesses with the courses they have taken during their 2-year education (such as Office Management in Education, General Business, Operating Systems, Desktop Publishing, process tables, Multimedia Applications, Corporate Communication and Collaboration, Management and Organization, Database Management Systems, Total Quality Management, Business Management, Business and Social Security Law).

 

Program graduates can be employed as "intermediate staff" in many departments of small, medium and large businesses operating in all fields, institutions in the public sector and non-profit organizations; in addition, in the project teams of consulting and research companies.
